BOLD [M]IST[AKE]S

I make mistakes 5 or 6 times just to make sure that I’ve learned my lesson. Most of the time, I don’t learn and commit those same mistakes in another setting or with another person. Some people would say I’m a train wreck, I just think I’m curious. My inquisitive nature has certainly blessed me, but more than often, I find myself in funny predicaments. Actually…most of them aren’t funny at all.

When does that “I wonder” factor dissipate? Am I making adventurous decisions or stupid ones? Should I be calculating my moves or just blooming where I’m planted? Where is the line that exists between risk and absurdity? Is there a line? Should I care what people think or just do what makes me happy? Should I do what makes me temporarily happy or endure unpleasantries for longterm satisfaction?

WHAT? WHEN? HOW?

Ironically, these posts are entitled “Weekly Wisdoms,” but I don’t know. And neither do you. It’s that exact uncertainty that keeps us all on our toes, questioning, reasoning, risking everything boldly. It keeps us alive. It keeps us young. This is an ode to finding yourself fearlessly, because no, I haven’t the slightest clue where I’m “supposed” to be, but I finally know where I WANT to be and what it means to get there. Mistakes are the portals of discovery.

Here’s to making better ones tomorrow.
